Trachta, Juanita Marie
Juanita Marie Trachta, 90, of Center Point, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at Northbrook Manor Care Center. As per Juanita's wishes, private family services will be held at a later date. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Juanita was born Sept. 12, 1920, in Lisbon, the daughter of Howard and Doris (Kohl) Blessing. She married Lester Trachta on Aug. 11, 1940. Juanita worked for Wilsons, Armstrongs, Killians, Younkers and Collins Radio. She ran the lunch counter at the Cedar Rapids Bowl for many years. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed the time spent with her friends in many local tournaments. Juanita enjoyed working outdoors, attending to her yard and flowers and the trips to Bowstring Lakes in Minnesota.
Juanita is survived by her son, Doug Trachta of Center Point; and her bulldog, Rufus.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Paul Blessing and Robert Blessing; and a daughter-in-law, Sally Trachta.
