Jose E. Torres, 75, of Washington, Iowa, died Friday, July 30, 2010, at the United Presbyterian Home, Washington, following a lengthy illness. Celebration of life services were held Monday, August 2, 2010, at the United Methodist Church, Washington. Pastor Julie Poulsen officiated. Interment: Cyprus Grove Cemetery, New Orleans, La.
Jose is survived by one sister, Marta Sanfiel of Washington; and his nephew, Dr. Frank Sanfiel and wife Glenda of Washington.
A memorial has been established to the United Methodist Church in Washington.
