Tommy J. Wood, 68, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 4, 2015, with his loving wife by his side in his Jensen Beach, Fla., home.
Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he had been a resident of Jensen Beach for eight years.
Tommy was a veteran of the Vietnam War, honorably serving his country as a member of the United States Air Force, and prior to his retire-ment he was employed by Trans World Airlines at its Cedar Rapids and St. Louis locations.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Nancy J. Young-Wood of Jensen Beach; two daughters, Tammi J. Wood (Rick Harris) of Marion and Tasha J. Egan (David), also of Marion; one son, Ryan P. Wood of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Jerry Wood (Jan) of Swisher and Larry Wood of Cedar Rapids; one sister, Kerry Sue Dloughy (David) of Cedar Rapids; six grand-children, Austin, Amber, Katie, Joshua, Kara and Emma; two great-granddaughters, Karli and Kaylee; and his two favorite feline companions, Clover and Fidget.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Delores Wood.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
