Tomas, Beverly
Beverly Tomas, 64, of Oxford, battled cancer for over two years before succumbing to her illness at home on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Beverly was born in December 1947 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Norman and Dorothy Techau. She was raised in Eastern Iowa and graduated from Linn-Mar High School in Marion. She owned her own cleaning service business since 1991. On April 23, 1993, Beverly married Donald Tomas in Coralville. They resided in Oxford since 1993.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and caring for her cats.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Tomas of Oxford; children, Carla Hartl of North Liberty, John Hartl (Shillon Brake) of Springville and Zachary (Rachel) Tomas of Newton; and her beloved granddaughter, Katie Freeman. She is also survived by three brothers, five sisters, and a large extended family.
Memorial donations can be sent in Beverly's name to Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City.

There will be no funeral services per Beverly's wishes. She lived her life the way she wanted. Do not grieve for me. I am the flowers in your garden, the sunshine on your face, and the wind in your hair. Please don't shed a tear for me; I am always there.
She will be greatly missed.
