Tom Vavra, 76, of Ely, passed away on Oct. 12, 2021, at Westridge Care Center in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, at the First Presbyterian Church near Ely. Inurnment will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, in the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery, where full military rites will be conducted by the Air Force Honor Guard and Ely American Legion. A reception will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at the St. Quentin American Legion Post 555 in Ely. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids are in charge of arrangements.
