Tom Sylvester, 69, of Cedar Rapids, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Survivors include his children, Todd Sylvester, Cara (Nick) Streff, Jennifer and Jessica Sylvester; five grandchildren, Mara, Anna, Colin, Tanaya and Cayden; and his girlfriend of over six years, Lorriane Trey. Also surviving are his brothers, Don, Larry and Charlie; a sister, Sharon; and many nieces and nieces.
He will be reunited in heaven with his parents; his sisters, Juanita and Marie; and his nephew, Dennis.
Please join us for a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Monday, April 4, at First Church of the Nazarene, Cedar Rapids. Visitation is at 10 a.m. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, is in charge of arrangements.
