"TOM“ GERALD THOMAS HANSEN

"Tom" Gerald Thomas Hansen, 85, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at Rose Haven Care Center in Marengo. He was born March 22, 1936, to Fred and Eva Hansen of Manchester. Tom married Nancy Bunting in December 1966 in Manchester, and moved to Cedar Rapids in 1967. They had two children, Jasen and Andrea. Later divorced, Tom remarried Gessel Villaver in August 1995, in San Fernando, Cebu, Philippines.
Tom spent over 40 years on his acreage in rural Cedar Rapids. He spent his days going to garage sales and auctions, buying and selling for a living. He loved working on cars, reading historical books, watch TV and surfing the internet.
Tom is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Dennis Sauser; and granddaughter, Nicole Sauser.
Tom was preceded in death by his brothers, Horace and Wilbur; son, Jasen; and wife, Gessel.
A private family service will be held later. Memorials may be sent to the Sauser Family, 706 Second St., Fairfax, IA 52228.
