We regret to announce the passing of Todd Hansen on Dec. 31, 2014.
Todd Wayne Hansen was born to Katheryn and Wally Hansen in 1957. The family lived in Lincolnway Village in southwest Cedar Rapids. He went to Prairie schools, where he was a wrestler. In 1980, he married Rachelle (Lindsey).
Professionally Todd was a carpenter, general contractor and then developer. Before his illness he was employed by the carpenters union.
He leaves behind his wife, Rachelle; mother, Katheryn; three sisters, Sandy (Mike Langridge), Diane (Dick Yurko) and Lori (Doug Whittenberg); niece, Min; and nephew, Shane, with their families.
Todd was a car enthusiast as well as a motorcycle rider and refurbisher. He frequented McBride Golf Course, where he worked on his score with friends. He loved fishing, camping, spending time with friends, and his dog, Pandora.
Todd was a man with the heart of a lion whose pride will miss him dearly.
Todd's remains have been cremated.
The family invites you to spend time celebrating his life and sharing your experiences/photos at Porky's on J Street SW Saturday, Jan. 10, at 3 p.m.
