Todd Michael Glade, 45, of Marion, died Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, from lung cancer. Memorial services are pending.

Todd was born Nov. 11, 1968, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Patsy Lee (Staton) MacKearney and Oran D. Glade Sr. He grew up in Coggon, Iowa, before moving with his mother to Midwest, Wyo., at the age of 16. Todd returned to Coggon shortly after his junior year in high school. In 1988, he graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids. Following graduation, Todd spent time living in both Wyoming and Iowa, to spend time with both parents. In Midwest, Wyo., Todd worked in the oil fields, was a handyman and worked at Auto Zone in Casper. He drifted between Wyoming, Iowa, and Colorado, before returning to Iowa in 2010. This past year he drove for O'Reilly Auto Parts Store. A job he truly loved.

Todd loved to go camping, sing karaoke and enjoyed watching monster trucks and NASCAR racing. Todd was a man with a wonderful sense of humor and a great heart, always willing to help out others when he could. Todd lived his life by following his heart. He will be dearly missed.

Todd is survived by his wife, Melissa Glade; stepdaughters, Natasha and Kelsey Ochs; his father, Oran D. Glade Sr. of Coggon; his siblings, Sherri (Eveland) Johnson and her husband, Jay of Gillette, Wyo., Ronald Eveland of Douglas, Wyo., Delray (Glade) Nitzel and her husband, Jeffery of Glendale, Ariz., Donald Glade of Montana, Jacob Glade and his wife, Gerita of Marion, David Glade and Melinda of Cedar Rapids and Oran "Dean" Glade Jr. and Rose of Cedar Rapids; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends!

Todd was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Lee Staton MacKearney; a brother, Dennis D. Glade; maternal grandparents, Burl and Donna Staton; and paternal grandparents, Jacob Glade and Mary Woodyard.
