Toby A. Albright, 39, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Independence, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 9, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.
Toby was born on March 12, 1975, in Independence, Iowa, the son of Douglas A. and Joyce E. (Bumbarger) Albright. He was a 1993 graduate of Independence High School and attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. He was employed with the Procter & Gamble Company in Iowa City. On Feb. 10, 2013, he married his true love and soul mate, Vannessa L. Sarver, in Grand Isle, La., and the couple made their home in Cedar Rapids.
He loved spending time with his daughter, family and friends. He enjoyed dirt bike racing, playing the guitar and fishing with his dad and brother.
He is survived by his wife, Vannessa; a daughter, Rae Anne Mason, Cedar Falls; his parents, Doug and Joyce Albright, Independence; a brother, Todd (Shannon) Albright, Strawberry Point; his maternal grandmother, Kay Lee, San Marcos, Calif.; his in-laws, Tim and Debbie Sarver, Fairfax; sister-in-laws, Yvette (Chad) Hamlett, Fairfax, Tanya Sarver, Fairfax, and Cassy (Catherine) Sarver, Cedar Rapids; and aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; along with two special cats, Little Bit and Aries.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, with the Rev. Craig Votroubek officiating.
