TIMOTHY "TIM" A. KLEIMAN

Timothy "Tim" A. Kleiman, 61, of Cedar Rapids, lost a courageous battle with a brief illness on May 4, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital. He was surrounded by family at the time of his peaceful death.

Tim was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on June 12, 1960, to Bill and Maxine Kleiman. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1978, where he spent his high school years wrestling. After high school, Tim went to work in the trades. He was an operator at Coonrod Wrecker & Crane for the duration of his career. Tim was united in marriage to Christine on April 8, 1989. Tim and Christine welcomed their daughter Sarah into the world on Aug. 15, 1989, and daughter Abbey on May 22, 1991. On Aug. 31, 2019, Tim became a grandpa; this was his most cherished title that he received in life.

Tim enjoyed playing golf, hunting, riding snowmobiles and placing a bet any chance he had. He loved taking trips to Wisconsin's Northwoods and always had fun stories to tell.

Tim is survived by his wife, Christine; daughters, Abbey (Brandt) Wieser and Sarah (Steven) Meester; parents, Bill and Maxine Kleiman; brother, Mike (Kelly) Kleiman, all from Cedar Rapids; nephews, Bobby (Adri) Trimble of Ely and Chris (Jamie) Trimble of California; and grandsons, Kade Wieser and Carsten Meester.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alex and Laura Seedorf and George and Vera Kleiman; and several close friends.

Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 9, at Teahen Funeral Home, 3100 F Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, at the funeral home. Burial: Spring Grove Cemetery, Covington.
