Timothy "Tim" W. Hinshaw, 59, of Iowa City, passed away Sept. 8, 2015, at his home. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service.
In lieu of flowers, me-morial donations may be directed to the Huntington's Disease Society of America (www.hdsa.org).
Tim was born in Newton, Iowa, on Aug. 7, 1956, the son of William "Bill" and Rosalie "Rose" Stamper Hinshaw. He graduated from Kennedy High School. Tim was a longtime employee of Hy-Vee and most recently worked at Ace Hardware Lenoch & Cilek.
He is survived by his children, Brian (Aja) Hinshaw of North Liberty and Amy Sanders (Paul) of Iowa City; grand-daughters, Alice Hinshaw and Jade Sanders; his father, Bill of Marion; and sisters, Sandy Thompson (Marvin) of Cedar Rapids and Linda McClintic (Glenn) of Cedar Rapids.
Tim was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Donald.
