Timothy Allen Hoskins, 45, was unexpectedly taken from his friends and family way too soon on May 2, 2022. He passed away peacefully at his home in Walford, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Clover Ridge United Methodist Church in Walford, with Pastor Kolleen Queener officiating. Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, also at the church. Interment will be held in Colesburg, Iowa at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Clover Ridge Methodist Church.
Tim was born in Plymouth Indiana on Sept. 11, 1976, to Jackie and Randy Hoskins. He graduated from LaVille JR/SR High School in 1995. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Ag Communications in 1999.
His passions were writing, photography, agriculture, sports, trains, Allis Chalmers and all things Purdue. He was a fan of the Purdue Boilermakers, Kansas City Royals and Indianapolis Colts. He was involved in FFA, 4H, and many other ag organizations in a variety of ways throughout his life as part of his work and his love of agriculture. Tim was a member of the Tomahawk organization at Purdue, the president of the Fairfax Lions Club and a member of the Clover Ridge Methodist Church in Walford. Tim has won many awards and scholarships for his photography, he always preferred to be behind the camera rather than in front of it.
Tim worked for several publications over his career starting with the Plymouth Pilot, the Crawfordsville paper, Iowa Farmer Today and currently, was the editor at Pro Farmer of America. He also had worked for the USDA in Oskaloosa prior to joining the team at Pro Farmer of America.
He is survived by his significant other of 20 years, Stacy Pasker of Walford, Iowa; his mom, Jackie Hoskins of Kewanna, Ind.; his father, Randy Hoskins of Plymouth, Ind.; and his sister, Lucinda (Cindy) Hoskins of Kewanna, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his fur babies, Lizzie and Hogan; his paternal grandparents, Fenton and Bessie Hoskins of Burlington, Kan.; his maternal grandmother, Ella Mae Vice of Lieters Ford, Ind.; maternal grandfather, Donald Lee Kline of Culver, Ind.; his stepmother, Sue Hoskins of Plymouth, Ind.; and many aunts and uncles.
