TIM WILSON
Cedar Rapids
Tim Wilson died. That's all he wished to be said in his obituary, but his family thought they'd add a little more. Tim, 61, of Cedar Rapids, died on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life service will
be held at a later date. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon, is caring for Tim and his family.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Debbie; son, Luke (Anna) Wilson; grandchildren, Landon, Ella and Lane Wilson; siblings, Rick (Marietta) Wilson and Vicky (John) Guillory; several nieces and nephews; some extended family; and his Benchmark family.
Timothy Dean Wilson was born Oct. 24, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, to Clair and Jackie (Morris) Wilson. He attended Prairie High School, graduating in 1978. Tim married his high school sweetheart, Debbie Murphey, on Aug. 4, 1979, in Cedar Rapids. In 1980, their son, Luke was born. Tim enjoyed golfing, riding his Harley motorcycle, and deer hunting with Luke. He was a straightforward man with a good sense of humor, no filter at times and a loud, memorable, voice. Tim worked for Benchmark Inc. as a roof consultant for over 15 years, retiring in 2017. He cherished the time spent with his family, especially spending time with the grandkids and attending all of their sporting events. He will be dearly missed by his beloved family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Tricia.
