Tim A. Martin, 41, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Service: 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Julie Hulseberg. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Tim is survived by his wife, Heather; children, Dustin Kirk, Adrianna, Kenzie, Bethanie and Dawson Martin; grandson, Karter Kirk; parents, Dennis and Dianne Martin; brother, Loren Martin; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Tim was born May 27, 1975, in Great Lakes, Ill., the son of Dennis and Dianne (Moyer) Martin. On Oct. 19, 2002, Tim and Heather were united in marriage in Cedar Rapids. He was the head custodian for College Community School District at Prairie Crest Elementary School in Cedar Rapids and was a Teamsters member through the school. Tim loved spending time with his kids. He enjoyed going on vacations, golfing and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
