TIM L. ZUBER
Phoenix, Ariz.
Tim L. Zuber formerly of Phoenix, Ariz., passed away on March 15, 2021, at the age of 73 years. Tim L. Zuber was born in Cedar Rapids to Lester and Ella Mae Zuber. Tim graduated High School from Washington in 1966. Tim had a true passion for baseball and helped his team at Washington to become State Champions in 1966 for the first time in 15 years. He continued to play for Ellsworth Community College, Upper Iowa College and then semi-pro for the Midwest Janitors.
In 1969, he married Deni E. Hodsdon, and they had three children, Bradley Steven, Benjamin Allen and Kimberly Anne. In 1987, a job opportunity for Tim sparked a move to Phoenix for the Zuber family. Tim spent most of his professional career in sales. Deni and Tim Divorced in 1993. He resided in Cedar Rapids for many years and then ultimately back to Phoenix to be closer to his children.
He was a dedicated father and proud of his family, which included his three children; daughter-in-law, Terelena Valdez Zuber; son-in-law, David King; and two precious grandchildren, Rangeley George (six years) and Edie Layne (three years).
Tim will be missed beyond measure. A Celebration of Life will be held to honor his life from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Knights of Columbus Council 909 1620 E Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402.
