Thrune, Patrick Arnold
Patrick Arnold Thrune, 58, of Williamsburg, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, in the Marengo Memorial Hospital. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Fairfax. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. There also will be a mass at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at the Cathedral of Sacred Heart Church, Winona, Minn. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Williamsburg, are in charge of local arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia Soukup of Williamsburg; his parents, Raphael and Betty Thrune of Winona; two brothers, Nick (Pam) Thrune of St. Paul, Minn., and Tony (Angela) Thrune of Prairie du Sac, Wis.; a sister, Ann (Perry) Christensen of Owatonna, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Patrick was born Oct. 27 1952, in Winona, Minn., the son of Raphael and Betty Jean (Stuck) Thrune. He graduated from Cotter High School in Winona, and was currently attending Kirkwood Community College. Patrick has resided in Cedar Rapids, Swisher and in Williamsburg since 1999. He had worked for Rockwell since 1996. Patrick enjoyed bowling, fishing and being a hospice volunteer.
