Threatt, James 'J.W.'
James “J.W.” Threatt, 40, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW, with the Rev. Rufus Johnson presiding. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before services Tuesday.
J.W. was born March 6, 1971, in Memphis, Tenn., the son of Curtis and Rosalee (McGee) Threatt.
He is survived by a brother, Joey Myles; sisters, Mearling (David) Penland and Betty Ann McGee; mom, Ruby Myles; his children, Dominque, Lavell, Curtis, James, Riley James, Daniel and Isiah; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
J.W. was preceded in death by his brother and his dad.
