Thompson, Elsie P.
Elsie P. Thompson, 91, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center following a short illness. A visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Teahen Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Elsie is survived by her two sons, Robert (Nina) Thompson of Baraboo, Wis. and Rick Thompson of Cedar Rapids; three daughters, Lynda (Dave) Winkler of Cedar Rapids, Elaine (Larry) Payton of Cedar Rapids and Lorie Biggart of Atkins; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Logan.
Elsie Pauline was born July, 17, 1921, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Paul and Agnes (Toman) Dvorak. She married Logan Lorraine Thompson on Aug. 2, 1941, in Cedar Rapids. She worked at Harrison School.
Elsie enjoyed spending her time sewing, quilting and cooking.
