Thompson, Carolyn M.

Carolyn M. Thompson, 73, of Manchester, passed away at home Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013. Memorial Services will be 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Manchester. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. before the services at the funeral home.

Carolyn was born Nov. 20, 1939, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Vincent and Jenny Belle (Land) Schevers. She graduated from St. Mary's High School, Keokuk. On June 21, 1958, Carolyn was united in marriage to Richard E. Thompson. Carolyn worked for Square D for 33 years. She enjoyed fishing; lived to be on the lake, gardening, her flowers and her dog, Brandy.

Carolyn is survived by two sons, Rick and Michael Thompson of Manchester; two grandchildren, Desiree and Cody Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Lilyanne Marie and London Kay; and two sisters, Margaret Kay of Cedar Rapids and Susie Meader of Manchester.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 2010; her parents; and two brothers, Vincent Jr. and Michael Schevers.
