THOMAS A. STOVIE
Alburnett
Thomas A. Stovie, 71, of Alburnett, died Tuesday,
Sept. 18, 2018, in his home from a sudden illness. There will be a private family service. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sally; his children, Tobi (Steven) Kramer of Toddville, Timothy (Shanda) Stovie of Urbandale, Toni (Mark) Beason of Cedar Rapids, Thomas (Tammy) Stovie of Ankeny and Travis (Julia) Stovie of Fairfax; his father, Raymond Stovie; his siblings, Cindy Dirksen, John Stovie and Brad Stovie; and his grandchildren, Alicia, Emily, Megan, Hannah, Lexie, Alex, Jakob, Chris, Carter, Kelsea, Tyler and Lexi. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cecilia Stovie; and brother, Craig.
Thomas was born Feb. 8, 1947, in Denver, Colo., the son of Ray and Cecilia (Weisen) Stovie. He married Sally Thiessen on Aug. 6, 1966, in Elkader, Iowa. Thomas was retired from Quaker Oats. He enjoyed being outdoors, working in his yard, listening to the Cubs and following the Iowa Hawkeyes.
