Thomas Michael Shea, 77, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Keystone Care Center in Keystone. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 29, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, by Father Ivan Neinhaus. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. The Knights of Columbus Council 909 will perform a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Burial: St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fairfax.
Survivors include his two sisters, Phyllis Becker of Cedar Rapids and Mary (Jack) Rollinger of Mesa, Ariz.; and sister-in-law, Mary Shea of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dan Shea; and brother-in-law, Charles Becker.
Thomas was born Aug. 18, 1937, the son of Thomas and Pearl (Sampson) Shea in Cedar Rapids. He worked for Cedar Rapids schools for 30 years. Thomas also worked at Hy-Vee for three years and Mercy Medical Center for four years.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 909 in Cedar Rapids, and had a love for traveling, old cars, bowling and dogs.
