Tom Ryan, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died in Naples, Fla., on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014.
He was born Oct. 19, 1926, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and served in the Navy and Air Force. During his career, he worked at the Social Security Administration in Kansas City, Mo., where he met his deceased wife, Joann. Tom retired 26 years ago to Naples, Fla., where he enjoyed the wonderful Florida weather and played tennis.
Surviving are his daughter, Janice Ryan of Lenexa, Kan.; his son, David Ryan, and two beloved grandchildren, Tom and Riley Ryan, all of Waukegan, Ill.; and a brother, James E. Ryan of Cedar Rapids.
Interment will be private.
