Thomas, Ronald L.
Ronald L. Thomas, 74, a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010. Services: 10 a.m., Thursday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service by Chaplain Jeremy Hudson. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include a sister, Judith Koutny of Cedar Rapids; two nephews, Todd Koutny of Cedar Rapids, and Lance (Maria) Koutny of Methuen, Mass., and their children, Emma and Isabella; and a niece, Valerie Koutny of Parkview.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ronald was born May 7, 1935, the son of Theodore “Ted” and Laurine (Flitsch) Thomas, in Cedar Rapids. Ronald graduated from Ranken Technical Institute in St. Louis, and was a member of Plumbers Local 125 in Cedar Rapids.
