Thomas Craig Norman, 53, died peacefully Sunday, March 29, 2015.
He was born Jan. 13, 1962, in Sioux City, Iowa. He lived in Cedar Rapids and worked at Square D, Power/Mation, Cryovac Sealed Air and ASAC. Tom was a longtime member of AA and was respected and honored by many for his service to the organization. Tom also served in the National Guard.
Survivors include father, Donald Norman; mother, Marlene Selzer; wife, Cherie; brothers, Charles (Linda) and Donald (DJ) Jr.; sisters, Susan and Julie; son, Ryan (Erica) Bacsom; daughter, Lisa Carte; stepdaughters, Sarah and Rose Beranek; and nine granchildren, Shelby, Bobby, Caylei, Thomas, Samantha, James, Audra, Paisely and Laynei.
Tom was preceded in death by grandmothers, Verna Norman and Eloise Rohr.
Tom had multiple medical issues and now rests peacefully in God's arms.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at American Legion, 625 31st. St., Marion. Relatives and friends are welcome to bring a covered dish and beverages.
Contributions are welcomed, in lieu of flowers.
