Thomas James Michael, 78, passed away in an Oregon hospital on Oct. 6, 2021. Tom was born on March 16, 1943, in Walker, Iowa, to Theodore and Agnes (Wilson) Michael. He attended Walker High School, and then joined the U.S. Navy. After his military service, he worked in construction, apartment management, and retired from Walmart in Bullhead, Ariz.
Tom is survived by his children, Laura Simon and John Michael; grandchildren, Janelle, Zach and Tyler; siblings, Rita Basquin of Hiawatha, Roger (Karen) Michael of West Union, Allen (Lou) Michael of McLoud, Okla., Judy Martinez of Elk Grove, Calif., Jim (Mary Jo) Michael of Cedar Falls, Chuck Michael of Oelwein, Bill Michael of Oakdale, Calif., and Teresa (Jeff) Lawless of Harpers Ferry; aunt, Anna Mae Michael of Hiawatha; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David and Bert Michael; brothers-in-law, John Martinez and Ron Basquin; and great-nephew Bradley Mitchell.
