Thomas Glen Janss, 73, of Keystone, IA, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 7, 2025, with his family by his side.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, March 14, 2025, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 306 Second St. E, Newhall, IA 52315, with Rev. Nick Palmer officiating. Interment will be held following the service at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral & Cremation services.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Tom was born on December 17, 1951, in Belle Plaine, IA, the son of Pete and Gayle Janss. Tom was united in marriage to Barbara (Andresen) Janss on July 29, 1972. Together they built a life grounded on faith, commitment and family.
Tom was a proud father to Joshua (Darci) Janss and Jessica (Larry) Franck. A loving grandfather to Chase (Lindsey), Jacob, Olivia Janss, Noah, Isaiah and Lily Franck. He was also blessed to be a great-grandfather to Cale and Landri Janss, along with a new little one to be born in June.
Survivors include his sisters, Linda (Darwin) Vogt; Robin (Tom) Danker; sister-in-law, LaDonna Krejci; along with several nieces and nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Pete and Gayle Janss; in-laws, Harry and Eleanor Andresen; and brother-in-law, Terry Krejci.
Tom’s family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to St. Luke’s Pulmonary Care Unit, St. Croix Hospice, especially his nurse Heather, along with the Belle Plaine Ambulance and Keystone First Responders for their care and support.
