Thomas L. Crosby, 74, of Williamsburg, died peace-fully Thursday, March 6, 2014, at his home. Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 10, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Iowa City, with Father Gary Beckman offic-iating. Military honors will be conducted at the church following the service. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Marengo. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 9, at the church in Iowa City, with a vigil service at 2 p.m. conducted by Father Mike Phillips, and a Knights of Columbus rosary recited at 5 p.m.
Memorials may be contributed to the pro-life organization of the donor's choice or Essence of Hospice, Amana.
Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is assisting the family with arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Anita; seven children, Timothy Crosby (Rennie) of Austin, Texas, Matthew Crosby (Carrie) of Riverside, Benjamin Crosby (Suzi) of Paulsbo, Wash., Erin Ferragut (Nelson) of Stevensville, Mich., Andrew Crosby of New Orleans, Christopher Crosby of Williamsburg and Elizabeth Crosby of Iowa City; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Jim Crosby (Virginia) of Kansas City, Mo., Doug Crosby (Carole) of Peosta and Marta Murphy (Joe) of Boston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Harold Crosby and Anna Belle Wheelock Crosby.
