Thomae, Doris Moore
Doris Moore Thomae, 88, formerly of Iowa City, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Mercy Iowa City under the compassionate care of the Hospice Unit. At her request no public services will be held; cremation services were provided through Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. She will be interred at the Rose Garden in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City, where both of her husbands, Earl Thomae and Donald Rogers, are interred.
Doris Louise Moore was born March 1, 1924, in North Liberty, Iowa, the daughter of Nathan B. and Florence Moore. She graduated from Iowa City University High School. She was proud to have served her country during World War II in the United States Navy.
Her family includes her daughter, Pamela O'Keefe; two grandsons, Timothy and Steven O'Keefe; and four great-grandchildren.
