Funeral services for Eric Thirtle, 71, of Kalona, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010, at the Kalona Mennonite Church, Kalona. Burial in East Union Cemetery, rural Kalona. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. where the family will greet friends from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Eric died Monday, August 2, 2010, at the Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a brief illness.
