Theresa Lorraine Snitker, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, at Highland Ridge in Williamsburg with her family by her side.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, at St. John Catholic Church in Blairstown, with Rev. Fr. Jacob Dunne as Celebrant. Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Blairstown. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, also at the church. Phillips Funeral Home, Blairstown, is in charge of arrangements. A memorial fund has been established.
Theresa was born, on April 5, 1944, in Cold Spring, Minn., the daughter of Nicholas and Geneva (Van Kampen) Mohs, and graduated from Kelliher High School in Kelliher, Minn., with the CMlass of 1962. On May 1, 1965, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Snitker in Shooks, Minn.
While raising her children, Theresa worked various jobs. Some of them included Benton Community High School, Pioneer, and Hope’s Bridal, where she was a seamstress for almost 20 years. She was a devoted member of St. John Catholic Church in Blairstown and the M.J. Kirby American Legion Post #170 Auxiliary.
Theresa had a great love for her family, sewing, making dolls. She spent many hours tending her garden and flower beds.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth of Williamsburg; son Kevin (Kim) Snitker of Blairstown; grandchildren, Tyler (Kristen) Snitker of Mankato, Minnsix, Chelsea (Justin) Moser of Van Horne, Jaxson Snitker of Blairstown, daughter-in-law, Theresa Snitker of Blairstown; grandchildren, Nickolas Miller, Noel (Jacob) Hollister, Christopher Miller, great-grandchildren, Shyla, Vincent, Raya, Wren, Bailey and Ayden; and siblings Ralph, Frances, and Michael.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son Kenneth J. Snitker; and 6 siblings.
