Theodore was born Oct. 23, 1942, to Neil and Jeanette (Berg) Carter in Santa Monica, Calif. After attending high school in Boone, Iowa, he enlisted into the United States Navy. He served as a gunfire controlman onboard the USS Gainard based at Newport, R.I. When he returned home, he married the love of his life, Joan Bachman, on April 4, 1965. After serving in the Navy, he worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone and worked as a lineman until he started ABC Disposal Systems in 1976. It was there at ABC Disposal where he found his passion and formed many friendships.
He enjoyed joy rides in his classic cars, making his yearly trip to the Iowa State Fair, and loved stopping for ice cream. Some of his most fond memories were the cruise and trips to Mexico. Most importantly, he cherished the time spent with his family.
Theodore is survived by wife, Joan Carter; children, Wendy, Trenton (Suzanne) and Chad; and grandchildren, Ramsey, Jaxson, Emry and Maggie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Neil and Jeanette.
