Tew, Charles G.
Charles G. Tew, 67, of Martelle, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services for Charles will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Martelle United Methodist Church by the Rev. Don McGarvey. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices, Mount Vernon.
Surviving Charles are his wife, Dianne; children, Angie Seichter (special friend Brian Schmitz) and her children, Tony, Vinny, Dennie Jo, Jenna, and Jane; Stephanie Mysak (Todd) and their children, Faith and Jesse; and Jeremy Tew (Amber) and their children, Tarrance, Jonah, and Olivia; a sister, Grace (Mike) Michels; and brothers, Gerald (Ellie), Henry (Fannie), and Johnny. Also many nieces, nephews, and children of his heart.
Charles was born November 26, 1944 in Eustis, Fla., the son of Valiant and Aileen Whatley Tew. After obtaining his certification as a Nuclear HP Technician he worked all over the country until his death.
Known as a vivid storyteller, he was a valued member of the Martelle Coffee Club.
Charles was known for his caring and kindness, he was a friend to all.
