TERRY L. "T" WIELAND

Terry L. "T" Wieland, 53, of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully after a long illness on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, in Cedar Rapids.
His family will greet friends Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. at The Kirkwood Room, 515 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City. A Celebration of Life will begin at 3 p.m.
Terry was born June 4, 1963, in Iowa City, the son of Darel and Carilyn (Yedlick) Wieland. Growing up in rural Oxford, Terry graduated from Clear Creek High School in 1981.
He worked as an auto body technician at both McGrath Auto and Zimmerman Ford in Cedar Rapids, as well as Hanson Auto Body in Iowa City. Terry received numerous awards and recognitions for his expertise in auto body repair.
He enjoyed watching football, but his passion, when not working, was devoted to NASCAR – watching the races repeatedly and also attending NASCAR races. He was a devoted Dale Earnhardt fan.
Survivors include his parents, Darel and Carilyn of Oxford; brothers, Kevin (Robin) Wieland of North Liberty and Gary (Michelle) Wieland of Oxford; sister, Pauline (Rodney) Plowman of North Liberty; and several nieces and nephews.
