TERRY I. WALLACE
Pensacola, Fla.
Dr. Terry I. Wallace, 63, of Pensacola, Fla., passed away on Sept. 18, 2018, after a brief illness. He was raised in Marion, Iowa, and graduated with a bachelor's degree from Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He went on to Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he got his doctorate. In 1983, he came to Pensacola to practice with Stanford Chiropractic Clinic. In 1990, he started his own practice, Pensacola Spinal Rehabilitation Center, with his business partner of 30 years, Eric Frank, D.C., where he practiced until a month before his death. He thoroughly enjoyed taking care of people, and they appreciated his gentle, healing touch.
Dr. Wallace loved to sing everything from barbershop to show tunes to classical choral pieces. He had a beautiful baritone voice and was a devoted member of his parish church choir at Christ Episcopal Church for many years. He looked for opportunites to sing in other choral groups in Pensacola. For the past two summers, he joined the UWF Summer Festival Music Chorus, and enjoyed the experience of joining his voice with those of students and community members of all ages and expertise.
He also was an avid antique Studebaker car collector most of his life.
Dr. Wallace was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Wallace; brother, Brent Wallace; uncle, Robert Wallace; and stepsister, Lorilynne Pantini. He is survived by his father, Glenn (Cherie) Wallace; sister, Sheryl Wallace; brother, Dale (Debra) Wallace; stepbrother, Bret Gothe (Jeff Conrad); and aunts, Margaret Turner and Margery Yanecek.
A special thank-you to all the medical staff at West Florida Hospital for the loving care that he received.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at the Christ Episcopal Church, 18 W. Wright St., Pensacola, Fla. A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2019 in Cedar Rapids.
