Terry F. Kadera, 68, of Iowa City, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at his home. A memorial and time of sharing is planned for 10 a.m. Friday, March 21, in the chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery in Iowa City. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Terry Kadera Me-morial Fund.
Terry was born Jan. 17, 1946, in Iowa City, the son of Herman and Luella (Kern) Kadera. Graduating from Iowa City High School, he worked as a projectionist for the movie theaters in downtown Iowa City, starting his career as a teenager in 1965. Those theatres included The Englert, Varsity and Campus theaters, where he also greeted moviegoers by taking tickets.
He is survived by nieces, Margaret, Judy, Barb, Carol, Christy and Vicki; and nephews, David, Ronnie and Marty.
