Terry Dean Horner, 63, of Mechanicsville, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025. Visitation: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2025, Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon, Iowa. Funeral Service will follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville.
Terry was born on October 7, 1961, the son of Robert and Edith (Wall) Horner.
Terry grew up helping in the family businesses, Horner Furniture Store and Funeral Home. He attended Upper Iowa University for one year and then finished his vocational training in Cedar Rapids. He enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Chicago Cubs. Terry was a sports card dealer and enjoyed collecting cards. He was a trivia buff.
Terry is survived by his brother, David (Kathy) Horner, Waukee, Iowa; niece, Katelyn Horner Chicago, Illinois; nephew, Ryan Horner, Clive, Iowa; aunt, Jacqueline (Gene) Covey, Hot Springs, Arkansas, and cousins, Dawn Moffit, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, and Michael Kay (Glen) Robertson, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Linda.
Memorials may be made to the Mechanicsville Presbyterian Church or the Mechanicsville Fire and Ambulance Volunteers.
