Terry Becker, 53, of Newburgh, Ind., formerly of Effingham, Ill., died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, in the Philippines.
A Celebration of Life service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at New Hope Church in Effingham, with the Rev. Van Brooks officiating. Doors will open at 10:15 a.m. No visitation will take place.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to
Samaritan's Purse.

Terry James was born May 2, 1962, in Cedar
Rapids, Iowa, the son of Francis and Helen (Leibold) Becker. He was united in marriage on Aug. 8, 1987, to Jane O'Bryan.
Terry graduated from
Iowa State University in 1984, with an agronomy
degree and worked for DuPont Pioneer for 32 years.
Terry was a member of Bethel Church in Evansville, Ind. Previously he was a member for over 20 years of New Hope Church in Effingham, where he served in many capacities such as Sunday school teacher, Elder, personnel committee member and missions.
Terry served on many mission trips, enjoyed spending time with his family, and his main passion was the pursuit of Jesus. He had an influence on many and left
behind an incredible
legacy.
Terry is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jane, of Newburgh; two daughters, MacKenzie Becker of Newburgh and Mallory Stolte and her husband, Kase, of Lancaster, Texas; parents, Francis and Helen Becker of Hiawatha; two sisters, Teresa (Tom) Wille and their son, Austin, of
Hiawatha and Denise
(Tony) VanOtegham and their sons, Evan and Wade, of Victor; and a brother, David and his son, Bryan, of Cedar Rapids.
