Terrie Beth McCarthy, 68, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2021. Family will greet friends and family from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at Faith Lutheran Church in Marion, Iowa. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at the church conducted by Pastor John Albertson. Burial will follow at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
Terrie was born Aug. 22, 1953, in Breckenridge, Minn., the daughter of Milo and Carol (Henninger) Popp. She was a 1971 graduate of Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids and went on to attend Coe College, receiving her bachelor's degree in psychology. Terrie was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Terrie especially enjoyed being with friends and family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Terrie is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Jamie (Rebecca) Russman of Arvada, Colo.; grandson, Silas Russman; brother, Milo (Karen) Popp Jr. of Swisher, Iowa; niece and nephews, Caroline, Milo III, and Arthur and Caroline; and many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials in Terrie's memory may be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Marion or to the Iowa Donor Network.
