Terrene “Terri” (Cumberlin) Nekvinda of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully at age 76, surrounded by family, after battling Alzheimer’s. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, educator, and woman of deep faith, sharing 59 years with her husband, Bill.
Faith guided Terri’s life; she was active in her church and youth ministries and taught elementary students in Cedar Rapids for over 30 years. She loved traveling, singing, dancing, and pickleball. In 2016, she became a published author with her children’s novel Pepper’s Delightful Discovery.
Terri will be remembered for her joyful spirit, devotion to family, and the countless lives she touched.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 10th, at Prairie Bible Church in Cedar Rapids at 2 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences can be made at www.neuhausfuneralservice.com.
