Terrance “Terry” P. Miller, age 59, and lifelong resident of Johnson County Iowa, died at his home surrounded by his children on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

Terrance Patrick Miller was born October 6, 1964, in Iowa City. The son of Raymond “Bud” Miller and Leanne (Mahoney) Miller. He attended Clear Creek Amana schools where he graduated in the Class of 1983. For many years, he became famous around the area for running a bar named, “Slims” just down the road in Tiffin. After selling Slims, Terry worked for Ward Property Management.
He married Lynette Sands on August 17, 1991, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Iowa City. Out of their marriage three children were born: Clayton, Carly and Cal.
Terry was an athlete all through school playing baseball, basketball, and golf. And that followed into his adult life with his children’s activities, as he coached them in baseball and basketball, which Terry enjoyed more than anything. He also enjoyed watching his own sports teams, Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers. As well as playing bags, cards, fishing, cooking, and drinking some cold Miller Lites with his family and friends.
His family includes his three children, Clayton Miller, Carly Miller (Zach) and Cal Miller (Lauren + Future Grandson - Carsen Patrick Miller); his three siblings, Kathy Miller (Randy), Mike Miller (Lyn) and Susan Sax (Mike) as well as his, mother, Leanne Miller.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond “Bud” Miller.
