Terrance Joseph Disterhoft was born March 19, 1958, in Marengo, the son of Paul and Mary (Frimml) Disterhoft. Terry married Camelle Mahoney on October 26, 1985, at St. Mary’s Church in Oxford, IA.
Terry established a career in Sales with Centro, Inc building many meaningful relationships along the way. He enjoyed raising his two sons and attending their many sporting events, while also coaching and participating in many of those activities. Terry was a proud member of the Clear Creek Amana School Board. He loved to golf with his buddies and took great pride in perfecting his lawn, later being deemed the “Mole-Man” as he mastered the art of catching the pesky moles. In his free time, you would be able to find Terry on his deck reading the paper and watching the birds eat from the feeders. A good friend said, “No matter where they went Terry would know somebody, and if he didn’t, he would know somebody by the time they left.”
His family includes sons, Devin, Drew (Ashley) Disterhoft, his wife Camelle; siblings, Susan (Les) Bean, Diane (Danny) Williams, Timmy (Ann) Disterhoft, Bryan (Joyce) Disterhoft, Mary Disterhoft, Julie Bigler and Colleen (Dale) Lane; in-laws, Kimberly (Chuck) Hennes, Bob Mahoney (Friend Molly), Brian (Kerrie) Mahoney, Pat Mahoney (Friend Aja); many aunts, uncles, and friends.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Mary Disterhoft, in-laws Clayton and Beverly Mahoney, and brother-in-law Jackie Bigler.
Dad, Mom and your Sons will always love you. May you finally be at peace.
