Funeral services for Teresa Victoria Cardenas, 15, of Iowa City, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, in Celebration Hall at Iowa Mennonite School, 1421 540th St. SW, Kalona, IA 52247. Burial will follow at the Lower Deer Creek Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, in Celebration Hall. There will be a prayer service 6 p.m. Tuesday.
A general memorial in the name of Teresa Victoria Cardenas has been established. Beatty-Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Teresa Victoria Cardenas died Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as the result of an accident at school.
