Terence (Terry) Joseph Myers, 52, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Winthrop, died Saturday, April 28, 2018, in Denver. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 20, at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Winthrop. A Celebration of
Life will be held at the VFW Post 2440 located at 802 Third Ave. SE, Independence, immediately following the internment.
He is survived by his significant other of 21 years, Kimberly Bower, Denver, Colo.; his mother, Ann (Gary) Myers, Winthrop; two sisters, Denise Good, Cedar Rapids, and Becky (Arthur) Steinberger, Chester Springs, Pa.; and one brother, Tim (Jean) Myers, Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Myers; grandparents, Walt and Viola Hansen and Maurice (Toots) and Ruth Myers; and one nephew, Grant Morris.
Terry was born Dec. 8, 1965, in Independence, Iowa. He grew up in Winthrop, where he graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1985. He moved to Denver in the early 1990s and then resided in Charlotte, N.C., for several years before returning to Denver. He worked as a bartender and as a race motorcycle mechanic for over 20 years in both Colorado and North Carolina and was associated with the MRA as a racer and inspection technician.
