Teply, Glen L.
Glen L. Teply, 77, of Cedarpines, Calif., formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013.
Glen was born in Cedar Rapids on Jan. 2, 1936. He graduated from Wilson High School, where he excelled in sports, playing varsity football as a freshman and was heavy weight state wrestling champion his senior year.
Glen served honorably in the U.S. Air Force, played football at Texas Tech and retired from Procter & Gamble as a Public Relations manager.
Glen is survived by two daughters, Stacey and Kenda (Tom); a son, Robert; and four grandchildren - they are all in the Texas and California areas.
In Cedar Rapids, Glen is survived by his sister, Betty J. (Don) Hass; brother, Don (Judy) Teply; and brother, Dick (Carol) Teply in Arlington, Wash.
Although Glen never returned to live in Iowa after his graduation from high school, he always had a special place in his heart for family and friends in Iowa.
