Dorothy M. Telford, 90, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Crestview Acres Nursing Home, Marion. Visitation will be one hour before the graveside service from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. The graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Surviving Dorothy are her three children, Kay (Bob) Cline, Scott (Judy) Telford and Rex Telford; two grandchildren, Emily and Greg; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon Telford; and brother and sister-in-law, James and Catherine Brorby.

Dorothy Telford was born Oct. 29, 1922, in Clermont, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Ruth Brorby. Dorothy was united in marriage to Vernon Telford on Sept. 12, 1944, in Elgin.

She loved sports, was an avid bowler, and was inducted into the Cedar Rapids Bowling Hall of Fame. Dorothy was also known for her kind and generous acts toward others who needed help.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Association or St. Luke's Hospice.
