Teff, Leo S.
Leo S. Teff, 73, of Marion, died Monday, July 15, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. Per Leo's request there will be no service. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; six sons, Tim of Des Moines, Scott and Brian (Michelle) of Marion, Lonnie and Brett of Arizona and Roy (Debi) of Cedar Rapids; four brothers, Joe, Greg, George and Tom; and five sisters, Liz, Joanie, Angie, Carol and Debbie.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lloyd and Jim.
Leo was born on July 18, 1939, in Spring Grove, Minn., the son of Carlton and Bernadette Klug Teff. He married Madonna M. Wolfe on June 15, 1980, in Cedar Rapids. Leo was a foreman at Weyerhaeuser and retired from there after more than 36 years of service. He later was a consultant at Harper-Love for several years.
Leo was a member of the N.R.A. and proudly served in the Army. He enjoyed repairing pocket watches, machining parts, collecting guns, target practicing and riding his motorcycle. Leo was an inventor and designed and built many different tools. He was a devoted family man whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
