Ted "TNT" Bascom, 53, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at his home. Private family services have been held. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family.
Ted was born June 27, 1968, the son of John and Myrlene (Bascom) Strawn. He was a millwright and welder. Ted married Kristin Corkery on July 20, 1996, and they later divorced. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, boating, mushroom hunting and cheering on his 49er's. Ted also loved riding his Harley and is now riding it in Heaven. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his parents, John and Myrlene Strawn; siblings, John Strawn Jr., Janell Holub, Johnathen Strawn and Tabitha Strawn; daughters, Shianne Bascom and Nova Bascom; grandson, Emmerick Robidoux; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward (Toby) Bascom and Maxine Bascom.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family at a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
