Tawn Gronemeyer, 65, of Cedar Rapids, died unexpectedly in her home on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 3275 N. Center Point Rd., Cedar Rapids, IA 52411, by the Rev. Mark Halverson. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. Private Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Steven; two daughters, Cari (Joe) Kenny of Papillon, Neb., and Lauren Gronemeyer of Ames; son, Clay (Tamieka) Grafft of Bettendorf; three grandchildren, Justin Estrada and Katelyn and Colin Kenny; mother, Tatiana Campbell of Cedar Rapids; sister, Sheri Wagner of Houston, Texas; and nieces, Kimberly (Brian) Coolidge of Houston and Nicole (Dean) Herms of Fort Collins, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Tawn was born Nov. 2, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of William George and Tatiana (Simakoff) Campbell. She graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee in 1966. Tawn married Steven Gronemeyer on Aug. 29, 1970, in Milwaukee. She worked as a veterinary technician and as a
retail foods demonstrator.
Tawn enjoyed reading, cooking and our Vizsla dogs (Ella and Brewer). She was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids and Iowa Vizsla Rescue.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Tawn's memory.
