Tangeman, Michelle Frances
Michelle Frances Tangeman, 60, of Anamosa, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, following a brief battle with cancer. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Anamosa. Father Wayne Droessler will officiate at the service. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. A Knights of Columbus rosary service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.

Surviving is her husband, Roy; mother, Julia LeGrand of Rio Rancho, N.M.; a daughter, Angela (Nick) Oswald of Winona, Minn.; a brother, Bill LeGrand (Kenya Paley) of Rio Rancho, N.M.; and in-laws, Richard (Laine) Tangeman of Topeka, Kan., Wanda (Greg) Lyon of Lawrence, Kan., and Karen (John) Brinker of Leawood, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her father, James.
Michelle Frances LeGrand was born Oct. 16, 1951, in Little Falls, N.Y. She was the daughter of James and Julia Scirocco LeGrand. On July 6, 1974, Michelle and Roy Tangeman were united in marriage in Seneca, Kan. Michelle worked at McOtto's Restaurant in Anamosa for 19 years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Anamosa, New Cornelian Club; she taught religious education for over 20 years and volunteered for the Summer Reading Program at the Anamosa Library for a number of years.
